2025 – Beheloka – Supply of drinking water to pupils at ‘Ranomasina’ primary school – Project finished

During the inauguration of the Ranomasina school in October 2024, we ralised that 254 students and 6 teachers did not have access to drinking water during the school day. The project aims to ensure that all students have continuous and reliable access to potable water. This will be made possible by the construction of a 200-meter-long pipeline that will connect the school to the water supply point.

Additionally, a 1,000-liter tank will be installed to provide a sufficient reserve to meet water needs for up to 5 days in case of supply interruptions. Considering that each student consumes an average of 1 liter of water per day, this intervention is essential to meet the daily water needs.

Beyond ensuring access to drinking water, the project will significantly improve the students’ living and learning conditions, while reducing absences related to illnesses caused by unsafe water. Thanks to this initiative, the students will finally be able to hydrate regularly and healthily throughout the school day.

Total cost of the project 3.200€
