2025 – Beheloka – Food distribution

At the Ranomasina School in Beheloka, we started a small but significant project: the distribution of ‘mokary,’ the slightly sweet rice pancakes typical of Madagascar. Many boys and girls arrive at school without having had breakfast, as most families can barely afford a single meal a day. This forced fasting not only hinders their concentration but also reduces the energy they need to get up and face the walk to school. For this reason, thanks to the support of some donors, we decided to offer two ‘mokary’ pancakes daily to each of the school’s 254 pupils and teachers. Every day, we distribute a total of 520 mokary, providing a small but meaningful aid to those who need it most.
