At the end of 2021, a new project was launched focusing on adult literacy. The demand came from the community and this fills us with pride, as it means that the children have set a successful example! The course is already operational and currently has a large number of participants, which we are sure will increase over time.
The photo below shows Ravaomalala (35 years old), Nestella (20 years old) and Lety (51 years old) who, with other women from the village, are taking the adult literacy course. They work all day in the fields and in the evening, despite their fatigue, they learn to read and write in the makeshift and poorly lit premises of the parish. They have decided to educate themselves to have more dignity, to know their rights, and to give their children a better future.
Total project cost for 2 years €2,450.
